Introduction

Population makes a region, meaning that, the area cannot exist without people. The Latin American is made up of the astronomical community consisting of twenty nations as well as thirteen colonies. The half of population in this region is mainly composed of young generation with the age structure twenty-five years. The Latin American community comprises of different ancestries, races, and ethnicity making the area very diverse in the world. The Latin American region experiences both geopolitical and ethical forces with influence its development. (Larsen, 2004).

The region experiences cold climatic conditions, good soils marshy terrain, and ruggedness being the common phenomenon with the humid continental climate to some areas. The 2016 studies show that the population of Latin America is around 633 million and the region is economy based .the population in the region is influencing the growth of potential wealth from the natural resources attracting foreign investment from the European countries and united state of amerce. Parts of the area contain rich agricultural soil and the tropical climate which has changed the Latin American regarding farming especially, sugarcane and cocoa farming. The region has experienced and is still undergoing demographic transition due to the dynamic nature of the population brought by the change in both fertility and mortality rate. However, the region is changing in terms of economic development due to the population change. The population in Latin America is depressing the people’s living standards regarding land use whereby, the land is fixed, and it is being utilized by the increasing population. The effects of this scenario is reduced quantity of the region’s resources that native and immigrants depends on in their daily live.

The people in Latin American changed their natural landscape into the cultural landscape through the change of the land use from the year 1965 to 1994 because the region has had arable land. The land use, however, has led to the diminishing of the area regarding hectares. The natural landscape has been converted into land use by being portioned in the arable land; permanent grassland irrigated lands, forest areas, and continuous culture. Natural scenery in the Latin American region includes the original landscape that existed before any human interference and combination of man’s work and that of nature encompass the cultural landscape. The transition from natural to cultural landscape in the Latin American region involved the changes of the land use. The people changed the area through activities like agricultural farming, mining, industrialization and creating the urbanized population in the cities, (Larsen, 2004).

The agricultural activities in the region are practiced mostly by countries like Chile, Mexico, Jamaica, and Panama though their contribution is minimal. The food production has increased with maize being the main cereal, due to changes associated with the cultural landscape. Through industrialization, urbanized life was realized leading to the most significant concentration of railroads and highways which led to congestion, overcrowding, and environmental pollution. Farming promoted productive agriculture in the region with Latin America, being the exclusive exporting zone regarding products related to agriculture. The people also empathized on the most conservative policies. A good illustration of the changing of the natural landscape to the cultural landscape is evidenced on the conservation of the best national parks in the Latin America. The people preserved Tijuca National Park in Brazil which is the world’s largest urban forest with the variety of wildlife and exotic birds. The park also contains essential monuments like the waterfall. There are also other parks bordering Peru and Andes mountain ranges.

The people economic activities have enhanced geographical regions, impacting both political future and institutions. The region’s geography has been shaped in such a way that different people occupy different parts and carrying out various activities. The influence of population in future will lead to the trends of political fragmentations and decentralization of government. The people’s effort in agricultural development will influence future politics. The farmers will need in future, the leadership which favors and support the people regarding economic growth. The issue on the institution is that the nature of geography of this region needs those people who are to adhere to the suitable commercial activities. The system must be developed to educate the members on the matters concerning agriculture, environmental conservation, and tourism. The region has been able to face the confluence of adverse events from taxation of the agricultural exports, and the expectation is that the future political institution in Latin America must reduce the burden of this tax by promoting the farmers through provision of incentive. The capital inflows have been decreasing due to the instability of the economy. The economy of the region depends on the changes based on the cultural landscape, (Coale at all, 2013)

The Latin American area being one of the most multiracial areas has been able to enhance the economic development through agriculture and many other related activities. The modern development regarding technology can place it in a better position, changing its natural landscape into the cultural landscape through utilization of natural landscape like the native forest, national parks, and game reserves. The migration of people into this region will influence economic development through invention and innovation Latin American.
