Assignment Brief

Learning Outcomes:

After completing the module you should be able to:

1. Exhibit a critical understanding of the key dynamic forces impacting on business and society and the relationship between the two in terms of effective strategic decisionmaking
2. Critically analyse the relevant theoretical foundations to support the identification and application of effect corporate responses to contemporary management issues.
3. Select and use decision making tools to address contemporary drivers for change.
4. Question the accuracy and relevance of differing sources of information and opinion relating to global issues impacting upon corporate decisionmaking.
5. Utilise judgement to draw appropriate conclusions and make recommendations when faced with conflicting information ordata.

Assignment Task

Critically review the evidence (i.e. from academic, commercial, governmental or other relevant sources) to support the view that global economic power will move increasingly to the E7* nations by 2050.

(N.B. You will need to undertake some research to complete assignment 1 and to develop the evidence base to support your conclusions. Higher marks are awarded to those students that display an ability to evaluate and provide a critical review of the evidence – i.e. to assess the value and reliability of different sources of information before drawing theirconclusions.)
